Day with AI: Full Client Platform Redesign — Design System, Animations, Live Matching, and Editable Profile. In 11 Hours.
Two marathon sessions on a client project. New design system, Remotion animations, 2000 seed records, live matching, demo flow, and an editable profile with visibility controls. 14 commits in one day.

What I worked on
Saturday. Full day on a client project — an AI matchmaking platform needed a complete visual overhaul and then live data integration. Two big sessions, 14 commits.
What I did
Session 1 — Design system and foundation (~5h)The platform got a new visual identity from scratch:
- New premium design system — dark theme with gold accents, serif fonts
- Remotion animations for landing page — radar effect, step transitions, video backgrounds
- 2000 seed records with realistic data for demos
- Monorepo pre-commit guards — automatic lockfile sync + typecheck on every commit
- Font fixes, border styles, and video background adjustments for readability
Transition from fake data to a real system:
- Live matching — data matched in real time, not from a hardcoded list
- Demo flow for client presentation — guided walkthrough of the entire platform
- Complete redesign of pages — real data, ambient UI, editorial layout
- Editable profile with visibility controls — users manage what's public and what's not
- UX polish across the entire application
Time: AI vs without AI
| Task | Without AI | With AI |
|---|
| Design system + dark theme | 2-3 days | ~2h |
|---|---|---|
| Remotion animations (radar, steps) | 1-2 days | ~1.5h |
| 2000 seed records + PRD | 1 day | ~30min |
| Monorepo guards + CI | 4h | ~30min |
| Live matching + demo flow | 2-3 days | ~3h |
| Editable profile + visibility | 1-2 days | ~2h |
| Page redesign + UX polish | 1-2 days | ~2h |
| Total | 8-14 days | ~11h |
What I learned
- Seed data with 2000 records reveals problems invisible with 5 test records — filtering, pagination, performance
- Monorepo pre-commit guards save time — errors get caught before commit, not at deploy time
- An editable profile with visibility controls is a feature clients won't ask for, but users expect — privacy by default
